About the Company and Accounts Payable Specialist Opportunity:
- CFS is partnering with a repeat construction client, in business for almost 100 years to find an Accounts Payable Specialist
- This position will begin on a contractual basis and become permanent for the selected candidate depending on performance and fit
- Work with a small, tight knit team of 3 total in accounting
- Company boasts great culture, hosting various events such as bringing in food trucks, catered holiday parties, and more!
- Position is 100% in office in Reisterstown, MD
- Schedule: 8:30am-5pm with a 30 minute lunch, 40 hour work week, M-F
- Candidates must be local to the Baltimore area and be able to reliably commute to the location
Job Duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Process up to 100 invoices daily using Epicor ERP system and matching paperwork
- Review and reconcile vendor statements
- Weekly check runs
- Maintain 1099 files
- Assist with journal entries
- Back up for accounts receivable (able to post payments and pull invoices as needed)
- Receive timeclock entries and manually key payroll entries into Excel to be uploaded into Epicor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 2 years' accounting/AP experience required
- Basic Excel skills
- Experience with Epicor (for AP) and/or Great Plains (for general accounting) a plus, but not required
- Detail oriented, able to handle high volume, strong multitasking skills
- Self disciplined and able to work with little oversight
