Location: USCG C5ISC 4000 Coast Guard Blvd. Portsmouth, VA 23703
Role Overview:
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer. They will be responsible for overseeing all contractor work performed under the effort, ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations, and maintaining master plans and schedules. The Project Manager will manage daily contract support operations and must be available to government personnel during standard working hours.
In the Business Management Support Services (BMSS) domain, the Project Manager will lead and deliver comprehensive support services in non-inherently governmental areas. Responsibilities include directing efforts for C5ISC command priority initiatives such as adopting the DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF), developing and implementing acquisition strategies, implementing mission support business models, providing organizational change support, and addressing any emerging command priorities. The role demands strict adherence to relevant guidelines, including the Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center Strategic Plan
Key Responsibilities:
- Contractor Work Management:
- Ensure the quality and conformity of work to contractual obligations.
- Establish and maintain master plans and schedules.
- Communication and Availability:
- Be available to the customer via telephone and email for a typical 8-hour workday within the hours of 0700 and 1700 EST, Monday through Friday.
- Respond to requests for discussion or resolution of technical problems within 24 hours of notification.
- Maintain current Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Hold an ITIL® expert certification.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management support services for IT programs.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- Preferred fields: Business Management, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with senior personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret government policy, regulations, and directives, and apply these interpretations.
