Edgewood Center is seeking a talented and passionate Human Resource (HR) Director to join our thriving nursing facility in Portsmouth, NH. As an integral part of our team at Edgewood Center, you will drive strategic HR initiatives and support our employees' growth and success.

The Human Resource (HR) Director plans, organizes, and administers various human resource functions which include recruitment, compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations and performance management. Provides assitsance in developing policies and designing systems for organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Develops HR programs consistent with the mission, vision, and in accordance with local, state and federal rules and regulations.

Responsibilities of the Human Resource (HR) Director:

  • Manage full-cycle HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations
  • Develop innovative strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and maintain accurate HR records
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication and recognition programs
  • Process payroll and related activities

Qualifications of the Human Resource (HR) Director:

  • Proven HR management experience in nursing home environment
  • Experience in payroll
  • Strong understanding of employment laws
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
