Salary: Starting at $80,000.00 (Exempt)
About the Position: The Human Resources Director is responsible for development, coordination, implementation and management of all Human Resources for the staff members of The Center for Youth and Family Solutions.
A Typical Day as a Human Resources Director: - Provide input and feedback on human resource issues related to the agency as a whole to the Executive Director.
- Establish and review annually the employee benefit program to meet the needs of the agency and employees.
- Participate in the agency's strategic planning process.
- Administer benefit programs such as 401(k), health, life/accidental death/long term disability, vacation/sick/personal days.
- Monitor Worker's Compensation program and coverage for the Agency.
- Participate in wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
- Monitor employee separation notices, related documentation and conduct and review exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
- Monitor personnel transactions and employee statistics for governmental reporting.
- Monitor the Affirmative Action Program of the Agency.
- Oversee the Workforce Development Committee and facilitate on-going Supervisor trainings.
- Oversee the Educational Reimbursement Program.
- Supervise assigned staff; provide assistance, performance feedback and appraisals on an on-going basis.
- Maintain and revise Employee Handbook, Human Resources Guidebook and HR Policies and Procedures.
- Monitor employment law changes that may affect the agency.
- Consult with agency attorney as needed on employment law and HR matters.
- Plan and participate as required in employee trainings
Does the Following Apply to You? - Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5 years of Human Resource Field Experience (preferred)
Additional Qualifications: - Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Obtain an insured vehicle
- At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
