Loews Hotels & Co is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Orleans, LA

Assists in the development of a highly efficient and effective benefits program for employees of Loews Hotel. Responsible for entering and maintaining employee data in Human Resources Information System. Responsible for explaining and discussing employee benefits information.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Assists in developing benefits program for Loews Hotel
  • Enroll eligible employees in health benefits program and maintain billings
  • Enter and maintain employee benefit status information in hotel Human Resource Information System
  • Responsible for all database file maintenance related to benefits information
  • Provide Certificate of Group Health Plan coverage to employees
  • Oversees FMLA/LOA process
  • Trains managers and supervisors on FMLA Law and hotel processes
  • Generate quarterly average hours report
  • Conduct exit interviews for hotel employees
  • Coordinates annual Health and Safety Fair along with Security
  • Coordinate yearly open enrollment communications and meetings
  • Coordinate 401K meetings to coincide with 401K entry dates
  • Explain and discuss employee benefits
  • Assist with yearly benefit surveys
  • Develop and coordinate modified work programs
  • Acts as an intermediary and resolves issues between employees and insurance companies
  • Coordinate all billing for employee benefits
  • Provide benefits information at employee orientation
  • Oversees COBRA process
  • Oversees any ADAAA situations
  • Oversees team member issues, terminations/investigations
  • Oversees compensation (turnover reports, Wage Watch data etc)
  • Oversees Workers Comp issues
  • Other duties as assigned
Supportive Functions And Responsibilities
  • Notifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of any problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and employees
  • Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
  • Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains clean and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Complies with hotel safety regulations and procedures
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies, and rules
  • Remains current on hotel information and changes
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of insurance and employee benefits program administration
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Education:
  • Bachelor degree in a related field or comparable experience
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a manager/supervisor in a hotel or resort setting
