Fabian Oil is currently seeking a full-time Service Manager to manage, reorganize, and increase productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction from our service department. This is a fast-paced position that is responsible for managing many employees and various daily operations. In general, the Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department including but not limited to billing, payroll, dispatching, inventory, and customer service.

The Service Manager should expect to perform all the following duties daily:

• Works with technicians and office staff to provide fast and friendly service to our customer base.
• Hires, trains, develops service technicians. Holding scheduled service meetings with a focus on safety.
• Reviews the efficiency and profitability of the service department.
• Works to resolve any customer disputes.
• Responsible for the control of service parts inventory.
• Ensures that the service fleet is well maintained and safe to operate.
• Oversee service estimates to ensure accuracy.
• Oversees the on-call schedule.

The ideal candidate for the Service Manager position MUST possess and demonstrate EXCELLENT written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Communication with service technicians, dispatchers, and customers is a key responsibility of this position, so the idea candidate should be very comfortable and confident in communicating both positive AND negative information to various parties. They will have strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills and be able to effectively manage both their own as well as other’s time. A successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to change, work as part of a team and perform work responsibilities independently.

Because the Service Manager will have access to private customer information, the ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level is required.

Requirements:

• Experience managing a team of more than 5 people.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with the fuel industry is preferred but not required.
• Basic math, computing, and accounting skills.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay cool, calm, and collected under stressful situations.
• Strong history in a customer service position or related field is preferred.
