Who You Are
As an experienced passionate and growth-minded sales professional, you know that success in sales is all about building relationships, making money, and driving revenue.
As a sales rep with Insights in Marketing, you'll be responsible for driving revenue by developing and nurturing relationships with clients. You'll have the opportunity to build a strong book of business and grow your income over time as you continue to succeed. You’ll also have the support of our Sales Enablement and Marketing Managers to help with training and onboarding, content and collateral development and sales process optimization.

Job Description
This role is vital to the company’s overall vision and growth strategy. The New Business Development Executives are responsible for driving profitable revenue. This involves developing successful sales strategies, partnering with internal IIM service delivery consultants to create client centric research solutions, working on opportunities from prospecting to close and achieving a quarterly revenue target.
Responsibilities
  • Research, identify and create a contact lead list of current clients, potential clients, conference attendees, website visitors in collaboration with the Sales Strategy Manager.
  • Partner with the Sales Strategy Manager, to develop and implement plans to acquire new business
  • Contact new and existing accounts/clients to build positive relationships and to better understand their interest in and need for Insights in Marketing’s services
  • Conduct presentations, independently or collaboratively with service delivery team members to demonstrate to potential clients the benefits of working with Insights and Marketing and using our services
  • Introduce prospective clients to subject matter experts from our service delivery team for further needs assessment and methodology development
  • Work with internal subject matter experts from our service delivery team to develop proposals and statements of work that meet the client research objectives
  • Remain in contact with the client through the sales and project cycles to ensure a positive experience and to address any issues or concerns
  • Update and record all sales tracking activity using the CRM system ensuring all client provided materials (e.g., proposals, contracts, statement of work etc.) are in the CRM system
  • Assist service delivery team with requests for information and other sales related requests from clients and potential clients
  • Attend conferences and events to generate leads and opportunities
  • Conduct sales calls, emails, follow-ups and additional outreach touches with potential clients
  • Share client needs and challenges internally to aid in development of new products and services
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proven record of strong sales results (meeting and/or exceeding goals)
  • Proven ability to prospect and close new clients
  • Strong knowledge of sales process, including the ability to effectively forecast
  • Ability to uncover needs/pain points that IIM is uniquely positioned to solve
  • Ability to gain solid understanding of custom marketing research solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to inspire and influence others
  • Strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office and CRM Systems; Dynamics, HubSpot, Salesforce etc.
  • Travel required
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful B2B selling
  • Five years minimum B2B sales experience, ideally with experience selling marketing research services
  • Experience in marketing research industry is preferred, but not required
Annual Sales Goal: $1MM in net revenue
