The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Answers phones for the HR department.
  • Handles employment application intake and schedules interviews.
  • Performs data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conducts new-employee orientations.
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Prepares job postings.
  • Enters data in UKG Ready (Kronos) system and applicable websites.
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assists the director with HR projects.
  • Assists with benefits administration.
  • Handles FMLA and LOA requests.
  • Responsible for scanning employee records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS And EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates’ degree or 2 years work experience in Human Resources field desired.
  • Strong clerical skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Will be required to lift files frequently requiring the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to exert at least 25 pounds of force to assist with moving files.
  • Frequent bending, stretching, and stooping involved.
  • Requires ability to sit for extended periods of time and work in excess of 40 per week.
  • Dexterity: Frequent repetitive motion of hands/wrist involved.
  • Will be working in a clean, well-lighted area.
  • May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity.
  • Hazards and Risks: Direct patient contact with possible exposure to communicable diseases, exposure to radiation, anesthetic scavenger gases, and CRT.
