Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Director of Accounting to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private equity, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Duties:
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Prepare and interpret financial reports for senior management
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast financial trends
- Oversee budgeting processes and monitor expenses
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Proven experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in financial report interpretation and writing
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively
