Job Description :

Constructs builds repairs and inspects HybridFiber Coax (HFC) networks to provide voice video and data toresidential and commercial customers.

Coordinates with other utilities for permitsjoint trench pole applications and service issues.

Construction Planner I

Performs fieldengineering of proposed projects and ensures alternative routingdelivers the most costeffective design for construction.

Coordinates allcustomer implementation activities including site walkthroughs nodeplacements and subcontract labor.

Coordinates contractor work coordinate and / orobtains permits access or ROW agreements where applicabledistributes design prints and other necessary working documents.

Negotiates andapproves design or construction changes.

Researches and reviews plans gathersnecessary data and listing material requirements for project.

Coordinates withpublic works personnel developers commercial customers buildingowners and utilities on joint trench projects.

Maintains workflow databases andupdates schedules.

Participates in managing and estimating (revenuedelete)cost forecasts material planning capital and expense budgets.

Estimatesconstruction costs prepares budgets and tracks expenses.

Participates inmanaging and estimating revenue forecasts material planning capitaland expense budgets.

Verifies serviceability surveys proposed service routingand estimates material construction and labor costs.

Initiates customer contactscoordinates and / or secures access or ROW agreements completes routedesigns and takes necessary steps to meet customer needs.

May order materialsor coordinate with administrative personnel; may verify andreconcile invoices.

May plan and allocate fibers for splicing andactivation.

Mayinspect construction work or coordinate inspection assignments.

Releases addressesas serviceable and notifies other departments of service abilitity.

As projects arecompleted perform tasks to close tasks in database / tool reconcileassets and generate reports to ensure proper closure of project.

Typical Training / Experience

HS diploma GED or relevant work experience

02 years ofexperience in area of responsibility Dept / Org Scope & Impact

Entry level supportrole requiring basic skills
