About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to assist in digital payments modernization journey, to move to Cloud, and implement Experience APIs and Digital Payments Microservices. This role is to design and implement a robust payment solution, and guide, and mentor a team in the modernization effort. The role is crucial to implement a scalable, resilient, dependable, stable and secure solution. The person will lead the team to implement the end-to-end solution from design till the deployment in production. In this role, you will: Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor Required Qualifications: 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5 years of Proven experience in software development, with a focus on building Cloud applications 5 years of Proficiency in programming Java Spring applications, experience with relevant frameworks and libraries Desired Qualifications: 5 Solid understanding of cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and API integrations 5 years of experience in designing and deploying Mongo DB solutions for large scale highly available applications 5 years of Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and mentor junior engineers Expertise in designing and developing highly available, scalable, resilient and secured customer facing financial application Enterprise scale Cloud implementation experience is a huge plus specially experience in Financial Retail Channels such as (Payments, ATM, Branch etc.) Experience in harnessing the power of Cloud to create cutting edge solutions that push the boundaries of innovation Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Best Practices Experience with adaptive and responsive development techniques Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a track record of delivering complex projects on time Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field Job Expectations: Ability to work on call as assigned This position is/not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
