Job Overview
Looking to use your words to be a steward of storytelling for the OUR Rescue mission? OUR Rescue is looking for an entry level copywriter to work with our marketing team and focus on our social media channels. The ideal candidate will be an expert on the OUR Rescue voice and be able to produce clear, concise, and effective copy for the organization. This candidate must have a passion for writing and possess strong written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Craft compelling stories and copy that convey the organization with a strong grasp of digital marketing channels, marketing collateral, infographics, web copy, social media, email, scripts, and presentations
- Understand the needs of our audience, know the brand voice, and be able to leverage storytelling to craft messaging that strengthen all aspects of marketing and brand awareness
- Create engaging content that will be used for marketing and promotional materials
- Experience with social media writing and social media strategy
- Ability to research and become an expert on human trafficking and exploitation
- Write clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy
- Manage projects and tasks
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to anticipate which content performs well on each platform
- Collaborate with various teams to best tell their stories
Qualifications:
- Passion for OUR Rescue’s mission
- Exceptionally strong written and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly
- Experience with social media and content marketing
- Highly self motivated, takes initiative and proactive mindset that devises creative solutions
- Extremely detail oriented
- Precise on deadlines
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a team
