Chrysalis is Hiring a HR Specialist Near Murray, UT

Monday - Friday
9:00am - 5:00pm

Hourly wage: $19.50 - $23.50
Position Summary:
Specialists must follow policies and procedures for the Human Resource Department. Responsible for supporting the program in hiring new employees, employee evaluations, employee corrective action, employee training, and maintaining employee records. Work with the HR Director on issues and ways to improve service to the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the recruiting and hiring process
• Maintain appropriate number of staff
• Manage the interview process for frontline staff and manager positions
• Review and complete reference checks on potential employees
• Manage new employee orientation
• Verify work eligibility
• Complete I-9’s on day of hire
• E-Verify all employees within 3 days of hire
• Complete Criminal Background Checks on all new employees
• Follow the Chrysalis Fraud Prevention Procedures (e.g., separating employee record creation and pay card distribution)
• Renew Criminal Background Checks annually or per state requirements
• Punctuality and regular/consistent attendance at the worksite are required and the employee must be able adhere to their workplace schedule, stay awake and responsive
• Manage employee plan of action process for frontline staff and managers
• Employee Training
• Implement employee recognition and milestone award programs in coordination with the Area Director
• Maintain employee records
• Assist administration with employee problems and issues
• Manage employee drug testing program
• Manage employee driving eligibility
• Manage the work related injury process
• Oversee benefit administration for the program
• Help employees with the FMLA process
• Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources and Area Director
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of human resource principles and practices
• Ability to be objective in evaluating work accomplishments
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form to resolve problems or issues
• Ability to use judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, and government law
• Demonstrate good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management
• Knowledge of, Word, Excel, and the Internet 
Experience, Education, Training, and Certifications:
• A minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Complete all initial and on-going training requirements within established time frames
