Description
The Accounts Payable ("A/P") Specialist is an integral contributor to the Accounts Payable group. The main aspects of this role are to ensure vendors are maintained correctly together with a wide range of administrative support tasks for AP.
Responsibilities
- Review all expense report transactions within Concur to ensure compliance with company T&E policies
- Maintaining Concur employee changes and/or terminations
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries through a general AP mailbox
- Submit tax exempt certificates to vendors as needed
- Process credit applications for new vendor setup
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Complete special assignments or projects as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Experience with ERP system preferably Microsoft Dynamics but not essential
- Experience with SAP Concur preferably but not essential
- Must have strong work ethics, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
