The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the Director of Human Resources in all aspects of Human Resources. Additionally assist the Accounting Department with payroll, and the Director of Human Resources with New Hire Onboarding and overall administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Employment, Benefits, Leaves, Employee Events and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will facilitate New Hire Orientation, Safety Trainings, conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development and assist with special projects.
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
Interacts: Internal and External Guests
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday (Office Hours). May be required to work outside office hours such as weekends and holidays based on business needs.
EDUCATION: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERINCE: Minimum of 2 years of Human Resource experience, Hospitality or equivalent preferred. Must have guest service experience. Strong computer, math proficiency and administrative skills are required. Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Office- Excel PowerPoint, etc.) Bi-lingual and Spanish Fluency is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged standing/walking for 8 hours. Ability to walk around the hotel, up and down stairs, stoop, kneel, lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and push and pull approximately 50 lbs.
BUSINESS ATTIRE: To present a professional and business image to guests, associates and public we ask that all associates follow PHM’s dress and grooming standards available in the PHM Handbook on page 16. Standards include wearing full uniform at all times (if applicable), uniform must be neat, clean and wrinkle free, practice good personal hygiene, and grooming. Otherwise, must wear professional attire as reflected in Employee Handbook (Blazers required).
