Complete Job Description
- Associates degree in Biology or Chemistry or 2-year Technical degree in Analytical Testing with a minimum 6 months of industrial experience in an QA/QC or R&D or Analytical or Environmental laboratory environment OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant industrial lab experience in either a QA/QC or R&D or Analytical or Environmental Laboratory required.
- Ability to operate various computer-controlled instruments, in addition to a familiarity with personal computers
- Experience with Microsoft Office products; ie., Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Knowledge of testing equipment found in laboratory setting; ie., GCs, HPLC, FTIRS, Viscometers
- Well-developed analytical methodology and an insight into problem solving.
- Knowledge of SPC
- Detail oriented with the ability to record (via notebook or computer) and report pertinent data
- Organizational skills
- Must be able to achieve a passing score on a pre-placement aptitude test
- On occasion, must be able to lift up to a maximum of 30 lbs.
- Must be able to follow both written procedures and verbal instructions
- Must be able to follow all applicable safety procedures including correct personal protective equipment.
- Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with management and employees within the organization
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when required
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- The preferred candidate will have minimum 2 years’ experience in a lab position of increasing responsibility.
- Experience working in an ISO or GMP compliance driven lab environment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment on a rotating shift.
- Experience with emulsion polymerization products, laboratory testing and practices
