REQUIREMENTS

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the sales team, setting clear performance expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to support the professional growth and success of team members.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic sales plans and objectives aligned with company goals and market dynamics.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and expansion into new markets or product lines.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor and assess the performance of the sales team against established KPIs and targets, implementing corrective actions and coaching strategies as needed to drive improvement and ensure consistent achievement of sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for review by senior management.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the roofing industry.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments, ensuring alignment on customer needs, project requirements, and service delivery standards.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Evaluate and refine sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve overall sales effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and standardized procedures to ensure consistency and quality in sales operations and customer interactions.

Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes affecting the roofing industry.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify opportunities for differentiation, product innovation, and strategic positioning.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new Field Sales Representatives, ensuring alignment with the company's values, culture, and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior management to develop job descriptions, interview protocols, and evaluation criteria to attract top talent.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates' qualifications and fit, and make hiring recommendations based on strategic staffing needs.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate the successful integration of new hires into the sales team, providing training on products, processes, tools, and sales techniques.
  • Support new hires during their transition period, providing mentorship, guidance, and ongoing feedback to accelerate their learning curve and maximize their potential for success.
  • Regularly review and refine onboarding practices to enhance effectiveness and ensure alignment with evolving business priorities and market dynamics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
  • Proven gross sales exceeding $1M annually
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior executives.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales management or leadership roles, with a demonstrated track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets.
  • Prior experience in the roofing, construction, or building materials industry is highly desirable.
