Person CPA Group is a Metairie-based Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm focusing on small business accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and PCLaw. With over twenty-five years of experience, we provide business accounting and bookkeeping services, payroll services, tax planning and preparation services, IRS audit representation, management advisory services, and QuicBooks training. We also assist individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations with IRS tax issues. Our client base extends to the Greater New Orleans area including Metairie, Slidell, Chalmette, and New Orleans.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at Person CPA Group. The Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll processing, financial statement preparation, tax return preparation, and assisting clients with general accounting questions. The Accountant will work closely with clients to provide financial advice and ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Experience in tax return preparation
- Ability to assist with audits and IRS tax issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
