Develops and executes business plans for the maintenance engineering units that are aligned with the strategic goals of the overall organization. Leads troubleshooting technical problems for equipment and systems to quickly resolve any issues. Provide support to the maintenance group with a working knowledge of CMMs, Quality systems and aseptic work practices. Provide technical support on a variety of operational activities such as developing and recommending procedures and methods, preparing technical reports and documentation, and performing mechanical/electrical or other related maintenance. Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action. Work involves reading drawings and product manuals to diagnose problems, then using a variety of tools to make adjustments or repairs. Require working with manufacturers or ordering parts, supplies, and support to resolve technical issues. Role ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the timely resolution of manufacturing issues which impact safety, delivery, and cost. Develop, lead, recommend, monitor, and drive corrective and preventive actions to resolution.Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs, upgrades, and installations.Document engineering work in a timely manner and in a manner consistent with cGMP standards.Working closely with other departments to support manufacturing investigations, MDCP CAPAs to determine root cause and corrective actions.Knowledge of failure analysis and detection of failure modes to prevent equipment breakdown. Train and mentor maintenance technicians to develop their skills and knowledge. Basic QualificationsMinimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.Minimum 3-5 years of engineering/maintenance.Understands design participation, process & equipment commissioning FAT/SAT and equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQDemonstrated ability to solve complex problems using creative and systemic problem-solving tools and techniques.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and automation technologies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of failure analysis and detection of failure modes to prevent equipment breakdown.Train and mentor maintenance technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.Certification in relevant areas such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)is a plus.
