The Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in assisting senior management in developing and implementing HR processes and procedures, engaging our diverse workforce, and contributing to the overall success of the company. This hands-on position requires a proactive self-starter who can take ownership of the HR function and help drive our company to the next level. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience assisting with accounting and finance functions and will be asked to handle miscellaneous accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior management in developing and implementing HR processes and procedures.
• Engage with our diverse staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage the digitalization of current and previous HR paperwork and processes following the implementation of our new HRIS system.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
• Administer employee benefits and compensation programs.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Assist with accounting-related tasks as needed.
• Provide HR support and guidance to employees and management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a construction or subcontractor environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with HRIS systems and digitalizing HR processes.
• Experience assisting with accounting and finance functions.
• Basic accounting knowledge or willingness to assist with accounting tasks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
