Job Title: Senior Fund Accountant
Location: NYC, Mid-town---Hybrid
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fund Accounting and administration of Credit and PE Funds
- Preparation and review of accounting records, financial statements, and tax work papers
- Coordinate with Trade Operations group to troubleshoot cash, position, and market value reconciliation breaks
- Develop, monitor, and improve, internal controls / policies and procedures
- Support special projects around new products, new systems/existing system upgrades, and various process improvements
- Preparation of the NAV's
- Interact with Internal Audit
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in accounting or finance
- 4-6 years of experience in alternative investment fund accounting and reporting (credit fund/private equity)
- Experience with various management and Incentive fee terms and calculations
- Hands on with GL entries / transaction processing; working through an audit process, preparing audited financial statements, expense accruals, and investor transaction review/processing
