GO Ministries is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounting staff and financial systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring organizational budgets, creating financial business plans and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. They will also play a key role in training, coaching, and mentoring staff on financial matters.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the accounting staff for GO Ministries
• Develop and monitor organizational budgets, and create financial business plans and forecasts using Blackbaud Financial Edge
• Stay current on best practices regarding audit requirements
• Oversee Database and Donor management System using Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge
• Train, coach, and mentor staff regarding P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance sheet items
• Assist operations team in successfully executing ministry strategies
• Maintain financial records and files, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and preparation of monthly ministry financials
• Communicate with Accounting staff in the DR to coordinate reception of data to the mutual benefit of the whole organization
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 6 years in a supervisory role of at least two direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Able to work within existing work flows and make efficiency improvements
• Thought leadership to organize and delivery key reporting in a reliable and dependable manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Spanish proficiency desired
