Sweet Diplomacy is a gluten-free and special diet-friendly bakery manufacturer with a mission to bring people together to celebrate “World Flavors & Inclusive Tastes”.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef/Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and be able to produce high-quality products in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of baking techniques, food safety and sanitation regulations, and will be able to work independently or as part of a team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has excellent organizational skills.

Cooking and culinary teaching experience is a plus as we also offer catering and private event/culinary workshops.

Job Description:

• Work independently and following production needs to complete on-going tasks: prep and bake according to seasonal needs.
• Prepare pastry components with meticulous attention to detail of different dietary requirements, this may include but is not limited to: cake batter, frosting, cookie dough, brownies, muffins, cakes, cake in jars, beverage mixes.
• Assist in preparing, baking, and decorating cupcakes, cakes, cookies, brownies, and a variety of other baked goods while following the recipes and designs to high standards of precision for portions, temperature, time controls, and aesthetics.
• Attention to details and organization: follow strict ingredient rules, precise measuring in grams, proficient mise en place practice, and clear labeling for ingredients.
• Wash all baking instruments, molds, sheet pans in a timely manner.
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment on a daily basis as well as participate in deep cleaning sessions.
• Able to attentively package baked goods for nationwide e-commerce shipping (heat-sealing bags, prepping jars and boxes, etc. Must have a reliable car, job includes dropping off packages at post office, UPS, FedEx as needed.
