bazaar is Hiring a Human Resources (HR) Manager Near Los Angeles, CA

About Us:

Bazaar Printing is a dynamic and rapidly growing print shop with multiple locations and operations. Our team of 30-50 is committed to delivering high-quality printing services. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team and help us build a positive and productive work environment.

We do not currently have any formal HR practices in place, as we were a small business. The HR Manager will need to understand what works best for our company, identify the right tools to help grow the team, and ensure a happy and productive work environment.

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will be responsible for establishing and overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes setting up the HR infrastructure, writing position descriptions, managing employee relations, performance management, creating reports and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, people-oriented professional with a passion for fostering a positive company culture and closely working with employees to understand their needs and boost motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Infrastructure Setup:

- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.

- Establish HR policies and procedures.

- Ensure legal compliance with labor laws with external legal assistance.

Employee Relations:

- Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with employees to address concerns and provide support.

- Resolve conflicts and foster a positive work environment.

- Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

- Understand employee needs and pain points, and track their progress and mistakes.
- Plan and carry out weekly and monthly team meetings.

Performance Management:

- Track and evaluate employee performance.

- Provide constructive feedback and develop performance improvement plans.

- Conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
- Create monthly reports and discuss them with the executive team.

Qualifications:

- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR role.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

- Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.

- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in HR software.
- Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse team that speaks different languages, including Armenian, Spanish, and English, with English as the primary language of communication.
