Casa Bonita Overview
Casa Bonita is an iconic Mexican-themed restaurant and entertainment mecca in Lakewood, Colorado. Known as “the most exciting restaurant in the world,” the category-defining concept is an immersive experience that features dining in the midst of a 30-foot-tall indoor waterfall, cliff divers, puppeteers, magicians, and a mystical cast of characters. Casa Bonita is celebrating its 50th anniversary of being a part of the Denver community with a fan-base that continues to grow globally.
Job Description:
The Guest Service Attendant helps the flow of guests through the queue line, seating, and initial guest experience of Casa Bonita. The Guest Service Attendant, with supervision of the Guest Service Lead and MOD will accurately give guests a seamless transition from the food line to their table in an extremely high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming and interacting with all guests to help create a magical experience.
  • Checks out with direct supervisor and finishes any tasks requested.
  • May be asked to do other tasks as needed.
  • Completes all side work for Guest Service Team.
  • Performs all job-related functions in a cordial, friendly manner that is committed to exceeding guest and team member expectations.
  • Ensure all guest service standards are met.
  • Aides in the guest experience in the queue line.
  • Escorts guests to their designated tables in the building.
  • Keeps in constant communication with the Guest Service Lead and Table Attendants to make a smooth transition from food line to table.
  • Assists in any department or any role where needed, including side work and cleaning up at end of shift.
  • When guest matters arise in the queue, the Attendant will either get the Guest Service Lead or MOD to handle the issue. Call security if it escalates.
  • This is a position that participates in the tip pool. Training hours will be at the base minimum rate.
Requirements:
  • Preferred candidates have a minimum of one year of host or guest service.
  • Must be 18 years and older. (17 with school letter or GED)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to multitask.
  • Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required along with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including days, late nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • All scheduled work weeks include a minimum of one weekend shift.
  • Will work in highly populated spaces with guests who have been waiting in line a long time.
  • Ability to work in a loud, distracting environment with flashing lights, ongoing shows, and large numbers of guests constantly moving around you.
  • PTO blackout period from Thanksgiving week to January. The facility will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days for team members to spend time with family and/or loved ones.
  • Bilingual Spanish encouraged.
  • Must have close and distant vision.
  • Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and moving between tight spaces.
  • Capable of walking and standing on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Capable of walking extended distances.
  • Able to walk both up inclines and down declines multiple times in a shift.
  • Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times in a shift.
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 40 pounds food on trays.
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Must be able to pivot on feet to move around groups of people.
  • Must be able to move from seated to standing and standing to seated positions without assistance.
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction.
  • Capable of kneeling and stooping multiple times in a shift.
Physical & Environmental Demands:
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and walk often at a brisk pace
  • Able to walk up inclines and stairs and down declines and stairs multiple times during a shift
  • Capable of sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work and perform job tasks in small spaces
  • Possesses fine motor skills and dexterity
  • Able to withstand temperatures typical within an commercial kitchen setting
  • Able to withstand noise levels typical of a high-volume kitchen
  • Able to perform job duties efficiently in lighting conditions typical of an commercial restaurant and commercial kitchen
  • Able to work calmly under pressure and at a fast pace, typical of a high volume restaurant and commercial kitchen
  • Capable of and at ease with engaging with the public, potentially encountering challenging behavior, infectious diseases, and service animals
