Description
Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining the ability to function effectively in the positions of Accounts Payable, Representative Payee, and various tasks as assigned. Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
· Coding invoices and mileage requests.
· Enter approved invoices into the accounts payable or Rep Payee system.
· Print checks and ensure payments are sent out timely.
· Maintain all of the invoice files.
· Monitor accounts for stale dated checks.
· Enter vendor electronic payment information in the accounting system.
· Ensure deposits for all entities are handled according to policy.
· Complete electronic payments as scheduled.
The ideal candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision, consistently produce accurate reports, maintain a high degree of professionalism, possess good organizational skills, respond under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements
Associates Degree or experience in related field or two or more years of experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Experience with automated accounting systems, electronic spreadsheets and word processing software. Ability to effectively communicate.
This is primarily an in-office position, with some remote flexibility.
