Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour (Experience Dependent)
Shift: First Shift Only
As a Welder, you'll play a crucial role in fabricating and installing pipes and pipelines, focusing on welding the 45 oblique junction of pipes in the 6G position.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to comprehend project requirements
- Select and prepare materials meticulously
- Align and fit metal components by blueprint specifications
- Utilize various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to produce robust and high-quality welds
- Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and shaping
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred
- Demonstrated experience as a fitter/welder, preferably through apprenticeships or on-the-job training
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to produce high-quality welds on different metals
- Aptitude for reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
- Strong attention to detail and precision in fitting and welding metal components
- Good physical condition and stamina for tasks involving lifting heavy materials or working in confined spaces
