Howell Production Manager
First, second and third shifts available
Individuals will report directly to the Operations Manager and the Plant Manager. Candidate will be responsible for his/her shift’s total production build to schedule attainment for both the assembly operations and the molding presses as well as the quality of the finished product. The candidate will have 4 wall responsibilities. Those will include all areas of the plant. You will develop and manage necessary KPI’s that relate to required improvements in line with the company objectives in the following metrics: (S-Safety, Q-Quality, D-Delivery, C-Cost, M-Maintenance, E-Environmental, P-People).
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, dependable, well-organized individual who preferably understands metal or plastic finishing AND who has previous experience in the automotive Industry and is familiar with it’s production processes. We are involved in molding, plating, painting and final assembly of external ornamentation primarily for customers in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Responsible for daily overall production and schedule attainment. The candidate will have four wall responsibility of the entire value stream (SQDCMEP) for the Howell site.
Will work with various departments in the organization to implement and drive lean manufacturing improvements throughout the production process.
Drive team to attain Q1 status and ready the plant for IATF certification.
Strategy development for areas of responsibility & ensures alignment to organizational goals.
Establish & monitor overall area performance for production & quality standards.
Leads the implementation and compliance of key company initiatives and programs for their team.
Recommends required process improvements real time to current production methods through hourly OEE tracking , equipment performance and quality control.
Trains and certifies the work force and enforces company policies and safety procedures.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’ s policies and applicable laws.
Holds daily required shift meetings with each department head and Team Leaders
Coordinates the building and shipping of product to customer releases to maintain just in time status with all external customer to eliminate potential expedites.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
