Title: Graduate Assistant – Web Resource Coordinator

Other Conditions:
Pending clearance and availability of funds, appointment to begin approximately August
15, 2024 and end on August 14, 2025. Continuation is contingent upon satisfactory
performance and departmental needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop, maintain, and upgrade when needed the Center for Southeast Asian
Studies (CSEAS) website in consultation with the CSEAS director/staff [website: http://www.cseashawaii.org]
2. Build web pages and create/maintain web archives to support resource content
3. Maintain on-line calendar of Center events
4. Work with faculty to help post web-ready outreach materials on the CSEAS
website
5. Evaluate hardware and software for compatibility with continuing
web and multimedia development
6. Track website analytics
7. Assist with training staff for website use and maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Familiarity with Mac operating system and major design software applications for a Mac office
3. Possess advanced competency when using WordPress or similar publishing platform
4. Proven competency in graphic design
5. Experience with mining web analytics for report writing
6. Organizational ability that includes attention to detail, self-initiating, able to work with minimum supervision in a sometimes fast-paced office environment as part of a team
Desirable Qualifications
1. Masters degree with Southeast Asian focus
2. Informed knowledge of Southeast Asia via familiarity with Southeast Asian languages and/or cultures
3. Proven competency in incorporating streaming video and podcasting technology in web design
4. Competency in the use of Photoshop and Canva
5. Computer science or educational technology background
6. Working knowledge of ADA-compliant web accessibility protocols
