About The PositionThe Accounts Payable Specialist will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Review, match, and process vendor invoices into our ERP
- Work with external vendors on invoice and payment discrepancies
- Consolidate payments for weekly review with management.
- Generate checks, wires and ACH’s
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Assist Assistant Controller in reconciling payables accounts each month
- Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts payable as needed
- Relay changes of information to appropriate employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Experience: At least two years of related experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
- Ability to work independently as well as apart of a team, while in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
