Simmons Early Intervention Therapy is a well-established pediatric therapy company that provides therapy services for young children. Our therapeutic services help young children to grow and develop while supporting their families in caring for them. We are seeking a Human Resource Coordinator to join our team and support our growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who is an independent self- starter. We are looking for an individual who is creative, driven, and has a strong inclination for getting things done. Strong attention to detail is critical for success in this role. Leadership skills is a must, as you have to be able to take charge in certain situations to handle employee conflict, concerns and or other issues that may arise. To be successful as a Human Resource Coordinator, you must have a pleasant personality, as HR does play a role in customer service as you will communicate with employees, community partnerships, and client families. Multitasking skills are essential for this position as there are various moving parts.

The ideal candidate will present themselves in a professional appearance, friendly with a positive attitude, outgoing personality, knowledgeable in HR practices, tech savvy, competent in prioritizing and working with little to no supervision, multitasker, ambitious, proactive, a problem solver, self motivated and trustworthy.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with new hires in the pre-boarding and onboarding process to make sure all information is accurate
  • Coordinates in-person New Hire Orientation sessions
  • Ensure company is compliant with all employment laws
  • Responsible for Recruitment (creating job descriptions, postings ads, etc.), Talent Management, Hiring, Warnings, Writeups, Firing and Exit Interviews
  • Completes employment eligibility documentation, including I-9's and E-Verify in a timely manner
  • The upkeep of Employee handbook, Various Records to include PTO, missed days, late/early arrivals and detailed summary to include company items that must be returned during exit interview
  • Benefit information to include; medical, dental vision, holidays, etc.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR contact
  • Conduct employee evaluations
  • Coordinates in person employee trainings and workshops
  • Creative ideas on employees incentives and employee retention
  • Coordinate community engagement to gain new partnerships and referrals
  • Holiday Functions, Charity Functions, etc.
  • Supports Engagement Committee initiatives
  • Inputs, maintains, audits, extracts, manipulates and analyzes confidential data
  • Initiates changes to the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) associated with various personnel events such as job or organization changes and salary actions
  • Runs periodic data audits of HRIS data to ensure data consistency and accuracy
  • Special Projects: deliver HR initiatives through completion and create reporting to track progress

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and practices
  • Familiar with HR Software, EMR Systems and must be Tech Savvy
  • Three years of related work experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to perform the role.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent organizational/ leadership skills; Respectful and courteous to staff, clients and superiors; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to problem solve and think independently; Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment; Ability to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism; Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Reliable/Consistent in work attendance.

~Experience with or a passion for young children and or special needs population a Plus!
