We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team located in Gardena, California. This role involves overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, utilizing a variety of accounting software systems, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.Responsibilities:• Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner using accounting software systems• Utilize software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System for effective payroll management• Handle accounting functions related to payroll, including managing and reconciling accounts payable• Assist with benefit functions as they relate to payroll, ensuring all benefits are properly accounted for in each pay period• Process checks for payroll distribution, ensuring all employees receive correct payment• Maintain accurate records of payroll processing, including timekeeping records and pay adjustments• Resolve payroll inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally• Regularly update knowledge of accounting software systems and stay informed on latest payroll tax deductions and benefits regulations• Monitor and report on payroll expenditures, identifying and resolving any discrepancies• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
