DataPLUS Communications is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Glendale, AZ

Low voltage prestigious commercial cabling contractor is hiring experienced Fire Alarm technicians.

POSITION FOR EXPERIENCED FIRE ALARM TECHNICIANS ONLY -

SKILL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 Years Experience installing and troubleshooting Fire Alarm Systems
  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge of codes and standards
  • Ability to complete & submit accurate paper work which tracks work progress, personal timesheets and other related documents
  • Communicate with strong written and verbal skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional dress & demeanor

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: FIRE ALARM

  • Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings
  • Test and repair alarm systems already in place
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
  • Respond to emergency service calls
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools
  • Must be able to install conduit*Physical ability to pick up 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, use stairs, reach, bend, lift, kneel, crawl, stand, walk great distances, and carry material
  • Ability to work overtime as needed*
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

CERTIFICATION (A huge PLUS, but not a requirement)

  • NICET certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72)
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems
  • Other Manufacturer's Certifications

TOOLS:

  • Owns all required technician hand tools, keeps them in good operating condition, and knows how to use them.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • MUST HAVE an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety card.
  • Must have RELIABLE transportation.
  • Must have a cell phone.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking the English language.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
