UCO of Broward, Palm Beach & Mid-Coast Counties is Hiring a Program Specialist Near Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Works/communicates directly with Program and Home Coordinators, DRS, and Adult Programs Dir. specific to resident skill acquisition programming.
- Monitors implementation of all acquisition programs. Keeps updated on IP Protocols.
- Facilitates all Support Plan and IP meetings. Assists in choosing skill acquisition goals based on individuals’ choice and the data obtained through assessments.
- Assists HC/PC with completion of all IP’s within 30 days of admission into the agency/group home or within 30 days of Support Plan meeting. Follows the IP process as stated in the policy and procedure.
- Reviews, and keeps accountability logs for all (Residential and ADT) Quarterly Progress Notes, mailing/emailing them to Support Coordinators and guardians. Maintains Mailing Logs for all individuals.
- Maintains individual files for skill acquisition programs with data sheets.
- Attends all meetings and in-service trainings and assists with same, as requested.
- Complete all quarterly progress notes for the Adult Day Training Program.
- Assists in the writing of SANs for Residential Habilitation hours for Residential/ADT for increased Funding as requested.
- Assures that each resident receives the best support in the least restrictive environment. Assists each resident in reaching his or her highest level of independence. Ensures that all group home activities, training programs, and staff-resident interactions are in accordance with the UCO Bill or Rights for the Handicapped and all laws and regulations regarding resident services.
- Maintains a positive and ongoing relationship with other employees, parents/guardians, Support Coordinators and community professionals. Maintains open and effective line of communication.
- Maintains quality and quantity of work accuracy and thoroughness. Shows initiative, job interest/commitment. Attends meeting/inservices/workshops to improve work performance and knowledge base.
- Perform all related duties following United Community Option’s Policy and Procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
