SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the processing of vendor invoices on a daily basis, which includes data stamping of mail, matching of invoices with proper backup, proper coding of invoices, entering of invoices into the computer and interacting with internal departments and outside vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Processing of daily mail and vendor invoices, which includes date stamping of mail, matching of invoices w/proper backup, proper coding of invoices, entering of invoices into the computer.
• Process the weekly check run and ACH process for Fairfield from start to finish.
• Process the monthly commission check run.
• Assist with Accounting Manager in the resolution of vendor issues and research vendor statements.
• Assist in the maintaining of the vendor master file.
• Handle regular and routine questions for RCB staff members.
• Assist in training of any new A/P staff member.
• Serve as back-up to Accounts Receivable.
• Special projects, duties and analysis as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

The preference is for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience, as we would like this to be a role that can grow within the department.
