We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to be a part of our non-profit organization based in Escondido, California. The position requires you to manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing. The role also involves the use of UKG payroll software, overseeing multi-state payroll, handling final check processing, and responding to email inquiries.Responsibilities: • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing using UKG software• Manage multi-state payroll operations, including Washington and Illinois• Oversee final check processing and direct deposit procedures• Respond promptly and professionally to email inquiries related to payroll• Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance• Handle payroll requisitions and missed timesheet approvals effectively• Manage garnishments and cleanups of import expenses• Utilize Excel for payroll-related tasks, including vLookups and PivotTables• Maintain high attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility• Uphold excellent customer service standards in all interactionsSkills:• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Kronos Timekeeping System• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time• Knowledge of Multi-state Payroll and semi-Monthly Payrolls• Ability to handle Payroll for over 500 Employees• Proficiency in processing PayrollThis role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
