Kingdom Seed Academy - Elementary Music Teacher

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music education, performing arts, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Teaching Credential / Certification / License in dance education or physical education preferred
• Preferred if passed one of the following exams: CBEST/ CSET/ CSU/ Liberals Study Major.
• Cleared Live Scan background check.
• Experience working with TK - 4th grade children.
• TB Test and CPR Certificate (Adult / Pediatrics / First-Aid) clearance.
• Has a positive attitude and a passion for teaching.
• Exemplifies love for children, patience, empathy, creativity, and a desire to positively mold and shape young minds.
• Open-minded, flexible, and easily adaptable to all situations.
• Takes initiative in all situations.

The Elementary Music Teacher is responsible for teaching music to students in grades K-4. This role includes developing lesson plans, delivering engaging music education, fostering a love for music, and preparing students for performances. The teacher will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth in musical skills.

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and state standards.
• Introduce students to a variety of musical genres, instruments, and music theory.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage students in music education.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and other performances.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage students to develop their musical abilities and creativity.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student learning and school initiatives.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to the school community.
• Organize and lead extracurricular music activities, such as choir or instrumental ensembles.
• Maintain inventory of musical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
