JOB OVERVIEW
The Risk Associate works closely with senior risk, compliance, and finance officers to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. Analyzes risk scenarios and completes risk assessments to determine potential impacts on the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Assists in monitoring and evaluating risk factors including operational, regulatory, and financial risk.
- Conducts regular proactive reviews of firm processes to identify potential areas of opportunities.
- Assists in the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures.
- Supports the preparation of risk committee reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborates with internal departments, including Legal, Operations, and Compliance.
- Stays informed about changes in risk and regulatory areas and industry best practices and assist in updating internal policies accordingly.
- Prepares and participates in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in risk or regulatory compliance; financial services industry experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
- Must complete series 7 & series 24 within 6 months of hire
TECHNICAL SKILLS
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- MS PowerPoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
