Wild Card Creative Group is Hiring a HR Assistant Near Culver, CA

Purpose

The HR Assistant will be someone who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty in the less pretty but necessary components of HR, is passionate about people and excited about nurturing a strong culture internally. This person will be an amazing problem solver and data nerd - comfortable wearing many hats (ability to pivot at a moment’s notice) and has amazing organizational, communication and creative thinking skills. The HR Assistant provides HR support to Supervisors/Managers, non-exempt/exempt employees, with heavy emphasis on maintaining positive employee relations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day functions of the People department, including HRIS administration, onboarding and offboarding, compliance auditing and ad hoc reporting
  • Administrator for all employee lifecycle changes including new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions within multiple platforms (ADP, Ease, Filemaker Pro)
  • Audit and regularly update employee information in HRIS system (ADP) to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Interface and work across all levels of business partners within the organization 
  • Responsible for creating a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires including collection of all new hire documentation, I9 documentation, etc.
  • Process employee separations, paperwork, coordinate exit interview and coordinate final check
  • Support bi-monthly payroll processing by managing time off and timekeeping 
  • Support the recruiting and hiring process through creating offer letters, and managing the new hire paperwork process with complete follow through
  • Manage hr alias inbox and provide timely support to all internal and external inquiries, working alongside HR team to ensure all issues are resolved and escalated if/when necessary
  • Educate and empower internal employees and managers to be self-sufficient within HRIS system through building guides and training
  • Support benefit audits and enrollments 
  • Work with HR Generalist to leverage systems to improve process workflow efficiency (onboarding, offboarding, transfer)
  • Monthly auditing including required employee training & vaccination documentation
  • Collaborates with other HR and organizational leaders in the ongoing development and implementation of people and talent initiatives
  • Maintain employee files (e-filing and physical files)
  • Maintain job description inventory and work with the Talent Acquisition department on job descriptions, as needed.
  • Provide back up coverage and support for the HR team and additional areas as needed

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of project management/administrative support experience preferably within the entertainment and human resources fields
  • Ability to work with the highest degree of confidentiality – exercising discretion, judgment and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in GoogleSuite programs including gmail, sheets, slides, etc.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, resourceful and flexible
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-thru skills with the ability to work on many projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Team player with positive/easy-going manner to handle varied personalities, responsibilities and assignments
  • High interest in growing in the Human Resources function
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule to accommodate some overtime if needed
