What You Will Do:
Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Performing Ultrasound Examinations: The primary responsibility of a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is to conduct ultrasound examinations on patients to assess the condition and function of their blood vessels. This includes arteries and veins in various parts of the body such as the neck, abdomen, and extremities.
• Operating Ultrasound Equipment: They operate specialized ultrasound machines to capture high-quality images of blood vessels. This involves understanding and adjusting settings on the equipment to optimize image quality and clarity.
• Patient Interaction and Preparation: Vascular Ultrasound Technologists interact closely with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety during the examination. They also prepare patients for the ultrasound procedure by positioning them correctly and applying gel to the skin to aid in sound wave transmission.
• Image Analysis and Interpretation: After obtaining ultrasound images, they analyze and interpret the results to identify any abnormalities or conditions affecting blood flow. They must have a thorough understanding of vascular anatomy and physiology to accurately assess the images.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Vascular Ultrasound Technologists often work closely with physicians, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic information that helps in the treatment and management of vascular conditions.
• Documentation and Reporting: They are responsible for documenting examination findings and preparing detailed reports for the referring physician or healthcare team. Accurate documentation is essential for maintaining patient records and ensuring proper follow-up care.
• Quality Assurance and Maintenance: Technologists are responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of ultrasound images by following established protocols and performing regular equipment maintenance and calibration.

What You Will Need:
License /certification
BLS from AHA (American Heart Association)
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist.)
ARRT (S)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,400.00 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Registered Vascular Technologist (Required)
• ARRT Certification (Required)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
