IMC Companies is Hiring an Accounting Associate Near Collierville, TN
Position Overview: To help and coordinate with the accounting functions in the specialty accounting area.
Essential Job Functions
- Strong knowledge of Accounting principles.
- Experience with maintaining accounting general ledgers including journal entry creation and posting.
- Assist with all month-end closing duties and responsibilities including review of financial statements.
- Ability to prepare and process AP payment batches, EFT and checks including auditing of invoices and general ledger account coding.
- Reconciling vendor account statements.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Minimal Travel for inventory valuations (twice a year)
Job Requirements & Skillsets
- Experience in the trucking/transportation industry a plus.
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent organization skills and time management
- General familiarity with Accounting software, experience with Microsoft Great Plains a plus.
- Experience with the month end financial close process and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Strong Excel experience
- Previous Accounts Payable experience
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Microsoft Teams a plus.
- Effective communication skills with users, associates and supervisor.
- Demonstrated teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to sudden changes in priority or the need to multi-task with some guidance.
