Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is Hiring a Retail Merchandise Processor (Tri-State) Near Cincinnati, OH
For more than 100 Years, Goodwill has been committed to re-using and recycling. Join our team to help us achieve our mission by inspecting and pricing donations to be made available for sale in the store. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that quality items are appropriately priced and displayed, ultimately contributing to the success of our organization and its mission.
We are seeking energetic, task-oriented individuals with good organizational skills and attention to detail. Applicants should enjoy a busy multi-faceted working environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Retail or production experience is preferred but not mandatory.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Inspect donations to ensure quality standards are met.
- Price donations appropriately based on guidelines provided.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping for inventory and pricing purposes.
- Perform housekeeping and janitorial tasks to keep the work area clean and organized.
- Sort and organize unsaleable donations for return.
- Assist donors with accepting donations and provide excellent customer service.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
PHYSICAL REQUIIREMENTS:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Walking throughout the work area.
- Bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing stairs as needed.
- Pushing and pulling merchandise or containers.
SCHEDULE:
- Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production, and closing operations including work on weekends and holidays.
