Description

Erie Neighborhood House, a progressive social service agency dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society is seeking a Digital Media Coordinator. Reporting to the YOU Assistant Director, the Digital Media Coordinator will develop and teach a technology-based curriculum and facilitate student-centered technology learning for youth, ages 12-18. All activities are done in a highly collaborative environment between other technology staff and in-house youth workers.

Shift: Varies (25 hours non-asm/40 hours when asm in session)
Annually 1660 Hours 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, teach, and document technology-based curricula for youth during after-school homework hours and Full Days. 

2. Coordinate the ASM Visionaries Program through recruiting, facilitating, and supervising students as they complete their term projects.

3. Coordinate, plan, and assist with technology services for students, mentors, and staff during but not limited to TEAM workshops and activities, banquets, full days, etc. , 

4. In charge of clean up and maintenance of computer lab, focusing at the end of the day.

5. Keep the Mac lab up to date in the YOU area to ensure current information on hardware, software, and internet applications.

6. Document learning activities; maintain student records such as attendance, progress, and outcomes.

7. Work with YOU staff to complete Salesforce and Cityspan database requirements for the department and per Visionaries.

8. Maintain Etsy store by completing orders, adding new inventory, and managing purchases. 

9. Collaborate with YOU staff and other community partners to provide technological access to community youth.

10. Creating and managing the end of the year TEAM booklet, through the production and printing stages of the final draft.

11. Document YOU program by taking pictures year-round. Used for TEAM booklets and funder requirements. 

12. Supports Youth Coordinator and YOU staff with day-to-day duties and supervision of students during drop-in hours.

13. Other duties as assigned

40hrs during summer programming and After School Matters sessions

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in computers, youth education, or a related field preferred.

2. Teaching experience, preferred.

3. Experience with technology-based learning programs.

4. Broad knowledge of digital design systems (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

5. Knowledge of Windows operating system (Windows XP and Vista)

6. Knowledge of MS Office

7. Knowledge of Mac OS

8. Extensive knowledge of adolescent behavior and learning patterns.

9. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Compensation Range: $18.50-$19 an hour
