Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Corrections is looking for a candidate to serve as a Human Resources Associate to work at Menard Correctional Center in the Human Resources Department.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, task oriented, has excellent organizational skills, shows great attention to detail, and is a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
This position performs highly confidential, sensitive, paraprofessional duties in the daily operation of the Personnel Office.
Responsibilities include preparing and submitting personnel transactions and documents, answering inquiries, interpreting labor contracts, Personnel Rules, Pay Plan, other State / Agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Duties also include keyboarding correspondence, maintaining confidential personnel files, initiating employment / personnel references, verifying documentation for leaves, and researching information for disciplinary / grievance hearings.
