Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team in Canton, GA. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the reprocessing of surgical instrumentation. This includes the thorough cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical equipment to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform the decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness, and make necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ensuring proper sterilization cycles and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of instrument inventory, sterilization processes, and quality control measures.
• Collaborate with surgical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgical procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to sterile processing and instrument sterilization.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a sterile processing technician training program preferred.
• Certification in sterile processing (e.g., CRCST, CBSPD) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in sterile processing within a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) as per the assigned schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
