Position Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist with experience in payroll administration and high-volume recruiting in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you will take ownership of the full employee life cycle and payroll administration. Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates full cycle recruiting and onboarding, including collaboration to develop effective recruitment and onboarding strategies.
  • Responsible for the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), ensuring data integrity and completeness.
  • Oversees and administers the company's Attendance Point Policy, including periodic audits of attendance points, bi-weekly reporting to management, and disciplinary action as required.
  • Reconciles monthly benefit billings to enrollment records and assists the HR team with annual open enrollment.
  • Executes all aspects of employee terminations and off-boarding, including disabling system access, agency reporting, exit interviews, final compensation, and unemployment claims.
  • Supports annual benefits open enrollment and monthly insurance bill reconciliations.
  • Supports HR Team by providing guidance and education to employees on company policies and procedures, pay and timecard practices, and general employment questions.
  • Administers all aspects of accurate and timely payroll processing in the company's HR Management System. Includes collaborating with other HR team members to ensure timely input and approval of compensation, benefit, deduction, and tax changes, as well as garnishments, pay adjustments, and employee awards.
  • Maintains appropriate confidence in all personnel matters. Informs management of potential serious situations or matters that may result in company liability.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  •  Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to write HR-related documents and reports and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze situations using critical thinking skills, strong judgment, and discretion to address and resolve problems.
  • Ability to use sound judgment to escalate HR concerns to management as appropriate.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, to all levels of the organization and to external business partners.
  •  Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage such information appropriately.
  • High proficiency using MS Excel, MS Word, and HRMS software.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ Human Resources experience
  • A combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - required
  • Experience with an integrated Human Resources Management System (HRMS)
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification - preferred.
