Hampton by Hilton Brighton is looking for a front desk agent to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk. First impressions are lasting, and our front desk team is the first line of attack in our ongoing quest to provide the best service and accommodations in the Brighton area. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, friendly demeanor, and a willingness to learn. Competence in dealing with complaints and giving information as well as a customer-oriented approach are essential. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises. Responsibilities Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.) Greet guests and welcome them to the hotel Answer questions, address complaints, and give information about the hotel and surrounding area as requested Answer and handle all incoming calls Accept and sign the delivery of letters, packages etc. and distribute them either personally or through an interoffice dispatching system Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc. Check, sort and forward e-mails Monitor office supplies stock and place orders when necessary Keep updated records and files and maintain financial sheets with office expenses and costs Take up other duties as assigned (travel arrangements, appointment schedules etc.) Requirements Proven experience as front desk representative or agent or relevant position Hilton experience highly preferred Familiarity with the use office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.) Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures Proficient in English (oral and written) Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word) Strong communication and people skills Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities Good problem-solving skills additional qualifications will be a plus Job Type: Part-time Position Hours: Hours are 8am-4pm or 4pm-12am.
