Shawmut Corporation is Hiring a Human Resources / Office Assistant (temporary with a possibility to go perm) Near bridgewater, MA

Description

Position Summary:

The HR & Office Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Team (50%) and other departments (50%).

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed below are primary functions of the job and are not intended to be all-inclusive. 

Human Resources Support:

  • Stocks and re-orders coffee supplies for the WB breakroom and kitchenette
  • Manages the corporate office mail distribution 
  • Completes employee verification requests (internal and external) for all five US locations
  • Supports timely pre-employment on boarding processing for new hires & rehires 
  • Works closely with HR Business Partner to create and execute employee events i.e. summer employee fun day, cake days etc
  • Supports employees with ad hoc requests as needed

Office Support:

  • Provides administrative support to the Accounting Department with weekly check mailings
  • Supports management team with lunch orders and room set up (as needed)
  • Manages phone lines and assists customers/vendors/supplies with general questions - low volume (10-15 calls a week)
  • Orders office supplies for WB and NC plants 
  • Assist visitors/guests with virtual check-in (as needed)
  • Supports facility management i.e. submitting maintenance requests thru e-maintenance application

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required/associate degree is preferred
  • At least one year of office/administrative support is required
  • Experience with processing purchase orders is a plus
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (required)
  • Must be friendly and demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Presents professionally with excellent customer service skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to provide support to other departments as needed

Monday-Friday, Hours: 8:15 am - 4:45 PM (some flexibility with start and end time)

This position is currently temporary. However, there is a possibility it could transition to regular employment.
