Position: Accounting Assistant
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer
Job Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly, Regular Full-Time (Part-time negotiable)
Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 to 5:00
Pay range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour

General Position Summary: This position is responsible for the processing of the monthly financial statements and maintaining the general ledger. It also supports the processing of payroll and benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Process monthly financial statements
· Maintain the general ledger, create entries and reconciliation
· Bank reconciliations
· Process one payroll per month
· Back up for accounts payable and medical billing research
· Credentialing of medical providers as assigned
· Other duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
· Experience processing financial statements, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
· Experience processing payroll preferred
· Strong expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
· Must be well organized and detail oriented
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
· Working knowledge of insurance appeals and denial process is a plus
Environmental/Working Conditions:
· Must be flexible with a focus on teamwork and communication
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time
· Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for at least 8 hours a day
· May be required to lift at least 40 pounds
