Role Overview:

This role is responsible for providing real time support to the operations management and engineering teams with the Company. Operating under moderate supervision, the Manufacturing Support Technician will help to resolve safety concerns, troubleshooting quality issues, and improve efficiencies in production. Additionally, it could include documentation of workflows, routings, floor layouts, material handling, testers, or machine utilization. Work could include repairing, maintenance, or design of production testers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides support to production and manufacturing engineers on a variety of tasks.
• Aids in the planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering process changes or engineering design changes to support plant operations.
• Performs troubleshooting and continuous improvement involving the repairing, modification, and testing of mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, and production equipment.
• Maintains process controls to ensure equipment is performing to design specifications.
• Performs under general supervision, applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.
• Assist with the data entry of purchasing orders and supply chain management.

Required Qualifications:

• AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must have proficient computer experience with MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Prior experience in an onsite manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, SolidWorks, AutoCad, or other relevant CAD software.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a well-lit office environment. The environment will require the individual to walk to various stations around the office and will be stationary at their desk operating a computer for at least 75% of their day.

If needed to support operations, this position may need to enter the warehouse which can only be accessed by walking outside. The warehouse environment requires additional PPE and is a loud environment with uneven floors. The environment contains heavy machinery including but not limited to overhead cranes, handheld power tools amongst other power tools, and welding equipment. Parts of the warehouse require additional PPE and are clearly labeled as such. In addition, moveable machinery is operated in the warehouse at any given moment including but not limited to forklifts and scissor lifts.

In close proximity to employee parking is the Company’s Shipping & Receiving Department. As such, employees are to exercise caution when walking in the parking lot as to be cognizant of coming and going vehicles, include large semi-trucks, as well as forklifts.
